Did you know that you can build an entire site using only HTML and CSS? There are several languages out there that can help you bring a website to the next level, but HTML and CSS provide a great foundation.
For example, Interface co-founder and instructor Shonna Dorsey built this website in one evening to bring awareness to Domestic Violence Awareness Month (the annual cost of lost productivity due to domestic violence is estimated as $727.8 million with over 7.9 million paid workdays lost per year). The site features an embedded Eventbrite form for ordering tickets to the event, photos that change from black and white to color when a user hovers over them, and an accordion-style FAQ page. This website only uses the HTML and CSS skills that you can gain in two weeks through our Intro to Web Development Workshop.
Another Interface graduate built this site about his passion for cars using the skills he learned in the workshop. He had minimal prior coding experience.
Whether you are a small business owner, entrepreneur, project manager, graphic designer, event planner, or any other profession, learning how to code can help you do your job better and even open up other employment opportunities. Get started with our Intro to Web Development Workshop today – the next session begins 1/11/17.
